Optis est plus connu pour la fabrication d'objectifs que celle d'appareils. Mc Keown présente un modèle identique, mais avec une combinaison objectif/obturateur différente.
Sur l'exemplaire du musée de Graçay, la mise au point se fait en déplaçant le bloc objectif/obturateur sur un hélicoïde.
C'est un appareil très bien fabriqué avec de beaux matériaux.
